[plug] Ubuntu - baaahhh!!!!! Humbug

OK, now I do need help.

I've installed, and I've enabled all the alternate repositories in the
synaptic app.

Now how do I get my ATI X1400 (laptop graphics) working? I see an ATI
fglrx driver, but it's not for this card, but I installed it anyway.

Now what do I do to get a decent driver?

Another thing is the 3945 wifi card which seemed to be OK from the live
CD, now shows no response whatsoever. Any Ubuntu-specific ideas there?
Or do I start Googling?

Any help appreciated.

I'm trying Ubuntu since I'm getting less and less sure about my 1st
choice SUSE since the M$ agreement.

Cheers
RM

There are II types of people - those who can count like Romans and
those who can't.
