Hi again list,

After trying unsuccessfully to get the tp-link TL-WN610G working with
madwifi
drivers I inserted a Sitecom WL-140 pcmcia card that appears to use the
Prism54 chipset.

dmesg gave me the following:

pccard: CardBus card inserted into slot 0
yenta EnE: chaning testregister 0xC9, 04 -> 04
Loaded prism54 driver, version 1.2
PCI: Enabling device 0000:02:00.0 (0000 -> 0002)
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:00.0[A] -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 169
pccard: card ejected from slot 0

ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:00.0[A] -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 169

and the following in /var/log/messages

Feb 20 15:42:38 localhost kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:00.0[A] ->

if I run iwconfig I get the following:

lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

sit0      no wireless extensions.

Warning: Driver for device eth1 has been compiled with version 19
of Wireless Extension, while this program supports up to version 18.
Some things may be broken...

iwconfig: symbol lookup error: iwconfig: undefined symbol: iw_sawap_ntop

I'd be happy to get either card working.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

regards,

Chris
