[plug] knoppix not recognising or powering USB

1. Nope
2. Yes

I am getting power to the USB slots, If I plug in my USB powered
external laptop hard drive it "spins up" but that's it... it doesn't
mount anything and the dmesg says nothing.

USB mouse and keyboards don't work either.
