Hi skribe,

from the issue you have explained, it sounds like you are sending an
email in HTML format that is not being interpreted by your friend's
client.  Is this the case?

If so, and you don't really require the HTML formatting, changing your
settings to send plain text emails may be a solution.

I don't use KMail. So I can't provide further suggestions past this,
based on the details given.
