My knowledge of such things is a bit limited, but I guess you're talking
about using a terminal app, like minicom, to send the AT string to the
modem and finish off with the right command to keep it all in memory?
I'll have to dust off my knowledge of how to do that, but I did do it
many years ago when setting up a data logger with a modem :-)

Thanks, if I can't get that modem offered by wolfbite I'll give your
idea a try.
