Yes. This lets them talk to ALL computers on the 10.1.1. subnet. You
/can/ set the subnet smaller if you don't need 255 address, but
255.255.255.0 is fine.

Also, for routing to another block of addresses, if there is a gateway
that sits on both networks, then you can route through that, rather
than having a really big subnet ;-)
