Hi All
Apologies if you consider this off topic for the PLUG email list, but
since there was such a good turn out at my talk, I thought people on
the list may be interested in the funds we are making available.
Some may even apply for them.
Anyway, attached is the spiel that I'm sending around...
Stu.
iVEC, through its Industry Uptake Program, is pleased to announce a
small grant scheme aimed at promoting the use and uptake by industry
of high performance computing (HPC) and visualisation within Western
Australia. Applications are sought from organisations (industry,
government, education, public and private) interested in high
performance computing and visualisation that wish to undertake a
research and development or innovation project with iVEC aimed at
increasing the industry uptake of HPC and Visualisation.
In brief, iVEC will co-fund several projects on a matching basis with
industry partners and others. It is expected interested industry
partners and their collaborators will contribute between $20K to $50K
in cash and a similar figure in-kind. This would be matched by iVEC.
Opportunities to leverage this funding base would be welcomed but are
not essential to the project going forward.
Attached is the formal call for applications with information on
obtaining the guidelines and how to apply.
If you have any further queries or wish to discuss a potential
project, please don't hesitate to contact me directly on
industry at ivec.org
08 6436 8545
Thanks
Stuart.
