[plug] Usual questions about laptops

I've also used MSI boards, thumb drives, mp3 players and video cards
without any issues. Their mainboards were so/so a few years back, but
right now I wouldn't hesitate.
Don't know about their laptops first hand... Though I've seen them
around, I'd still prefer Toshiba, NEC and IBM over most others.
If you are already considering models from people who are not necessarily
laptop "specialists" and/or putting the MSI models up against some
no-name models then I think the MSI is worth a look.
Just check out what components they use - clearly an MSI mainboard! Who
makes the hard drive? CD/DVD? Screen? These things will make the
difference overall, but if you recognise the components they've used,
MSI themselves have a good to very good reputation for their boards and
tech support / RA in general.
