[plug] Optimise MySQL query

That's the problem I have with buying a book on mYSQL though. Yes, I have
done a lot of work with mysql over time, but have spent +2 years working
with MSSQL and have used Postgres, Oracle and even Access (god forbid) for
other projects.

It's all well and good to buy a book on MS-SQL, but there isn't all that
much point in learning how to write elaborate stored procedures when you're
most probably going to be working with MySQL for the next year. I should
change that actually, there's always a point in learning that sort of thing.

Back to my point, unless your sure you're going to be using MySQL and MySQL
only I'd spend the money on the book, otherwise online documentation will
probably turn out much more useful.

Thanks for the offer. I'm actually prepared to go out and buy
some books if people think there are ones out there that they
couldn't do without. I like having books as reference but
understand that sometimes the online documentation is all you
need.
