IBM server support for linux is pretty good. I put ubuntu606 on a 4
way ibm server and its been solid as a rock.
I'm using pronto on Solaris here, but was planning to migrate to
debian stable or similar then move it to VMWare myself for long term
support (Pronto is a legacy environment now) i'd be interested in your
results.
