I'm sure we'll hear about it ;)
More seriously, given that it's in the Debian BTS, a patch exists, it's
marked as 'important' and applies to the version in sarge and etch, I'm
optimistic that it will be fixed in a future upload.
On that topic though, what do people do about maintaining local patches
against distribution packages? I'd love for some way to automate the
process of noticing a new package version, grabbing the source, applying
the patches and - if they apply cleanly - rebuild it and install that
instead. It's been something I've been meaning to script up for a while,
but if there are better solutions out there, I'm all ears!
Regards,
Bernard.
