Even more fun is how this went over in Tasmania, if what I read
on this mornings plane flight is correct. Three year trial - first year lots of complaints,
second year some complaints, third year no complaints. THen it passed.

Ahhh, the old boiling toad trick.
The theory goes "If a toad is put in a pot with water which is gradually boiled, it wont notice the temperature change and die - but it will notice a sharp temperature rise and then escape"
(Results should not be retested, and I haven't done this myself :P )
<rant>
This is a federal issue, and should be decided for all states / territories as a whole. Not 1 hour there, 30mins over there, and none here...
Either that, or the three expensive referendums we've previously had on the subject should stand...
</rant>
(I realise that the two points may be opposite outcomes)
