Hi

I found software for my Velleman K8055 USB Experimenter's Board at
http://soft.pmad.net/k8055/.

It works, but I need root privileges to use it.  I get
"could not claim interface 0: Operation not permitted"
when I try to use it as a normal user.

Permissions on /dev/hiddev0 are ...
I'm confused.  Yesterday it was there, and /proc/bus/usb/devices showed 
the driver for the K8055 as hiddev.  Now it's missing and the driver is 
(none).

But it still works!

What do I need to do to use the device as a normal user with minimal 
security risk?
