[plug] issue with squid proxy on sles 10

Setting up proxy on a sles 10 server.  Problem I have is that when a user tris to go to the internet they cannot because the return route is getting confused.
Got the following issuing a netstat command.

169.254.0.0     0.0.0.0         255.255.0.0     U         0 0          0 eth0
127.0.0.0       0.0.0.0         255.0.0.0       U         0 0          0 lo
0.0.0.0         10.129.24.1     0.0.0.0         UG        0 0          0 eth0

Any idea how to get rid of the 169.254.0.0 route?
