Tomasz,

I just re-read my post and think it might not have been too clear.  The installation completed 
and I thought the filesystem was ext3 - as I had requested.  Some days later during a bootup 
the file-system being mounted was ext2.  That (to me) is a pretty big O-OH!  It just makes me 
wonder what really happened in the background at install time.  Not being critical of anything 
here - just FYI.
