Not sure on that one.

One box has got Fedora Core 6 and the other box has got Win98SE with GNU 
Utilities for Win32.

So I guess there would be different shells on each machine.

I think that Gnu Utilities for Win32 uses a modified version of zsh, 
while the Linux box uses Bash, but as far as I can tell the GNU utilities 
run straight from the DOS prompt, and do not appear to invoke any shell 
other than running in the DOS shell. 

If that sounds right ???

How would I check on the Win98SE box?
