Keep in mind that regardless of how well dselect works now, aptitude  
is now the recommended package manager for Debian and as such support/ 
updates/bug fixes etc may not progress in dselect appropriately. I  
also have a recollection of seeing a warning in the dselect  
documentation somewhere that they recommend *not* using dselect  
anymore....although I can't find that atm.
