As others have advised, you need to install from the 'alternate' cd. I
have a cel400 with 6gb hd and 128mb ram on which I put the alternate
8.04 with xfce desktop. Ran fine, allowing some waiting in accordance
with the slower, older processor. Plus you obviously can't have too many
apps running at once or swap thrashes and things grind verryyyy
slowly ;-)
