Oddly enough, Pacific's mirror is peered for
TPG (today's ISP, they do WAIX _plus_ PIPE
but don't make it clear that PIPE is peered
(or not) from WA).
I've had good peering value from an AmNet ADSL2
account in Joondalup. Am wondering if being
hooked up through ADSL1 (ie, Telstra at the
metal level) has anything to do with how AmNet
sees your traffic?
I note that PlanetMirror is no longer WAIXed
(used to be, years ago) at all.

Having spent most of a year living in a town
where dialup was absolutely _it_ for Internet,
I appreciate having DSL _at_all_... but still
curious about your real results as I'm thinking
about firing up ADSL1 accounts, firstly in a
small country town, secondly in what you might
call a perimeter suburb of Perth. Difference
in quota might add up to ~$30 a month.
Cheers; Leon
