[plug] Maildir inbox problem

I've recently had to rebuild my main server (SLES10SP1) and although I
have backups of my mail, when I copied them back to Maildir the INBOX does
not come up and there are no messages of than the page is not available. 
All my other cabinets are ok.
This is in SquirrelMail, does anyone know of a fix for this?  When I go
into Maildir I can clearly see the thousand of files in the /Maildir/cur
folder.
Any ideas?
