I for one would love to see things announced in advance, in some form of website. I now work in the city, previously out in the bush - have never attended a meeting or talk, but now that I am close there is no real excuse...except for no prior warning :)

Should we grab a BlogSpot user for this? Very easy to update, could be 
integrated into PlanetLA (for announcment-style stuff, anyway).
