Fujitsu and Seagate should both have "free" utilities available for
download from their respective web sites.

Depending on the model/s of your drive/s I may have some diagnostics
utilities for both drives - but they are getting a bit old and may not
suit your drives.

The download files are usually .exe files which will make boot floppies
for you.

These utilities should run diagnostics on your drives without doing any
damage to your data..

Note :
1 - You may need to create "boot" disks to run these utilities.
2 - You may also need access to a "Windows" box to make these boot disks

Contact me off list if I can be of any help, I will have a look to see if
I can find the utilities --- they are somewhere in the deep dark archives
of my old DOS collections.

HTH

Regards Arie
