Systems Administrator – Level 1 Support

meteorological services in support of coastal and ocean engineering and 
environmental protection. The company has a history of innovative

We currently have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join a 
small team of IT professionals. The responsibilities of this role 
include support of staff in use of IT resources, deployment of desktop 
and laptop computers and other systems administration tasks. While the 
focus of this role will be on support of Windows workstations and office 
IT equipment there are specific requirements to support field service IT 
requirements and opportunity to develop competency with Linux and 
Windows servers, networking, storage, virtualisation and High 
Performance Computing.
Candidates for this position will need to demonstrate skills and 
experience in administration and support of Windows XP, desktop, laptop 
and printer hardware and general IT troubleshooting. Experience with 
Linux would be an advantage. An ability to liaise with staff to 
determine their requirements or the nature of issues is essential as is 
the ability to communicate progress and resolutions.

Salary: $45 - 55K plus super, dependent on experience.
