Keeping the time in the future can have issues with your system at a later
date (no pun intended), this is most apparent on a Gentoo based system.

What would/could happen is that you install new packages, and they get
stamped with the future date. Once you set the time correctly, that could
cause an issue.
Not a train smasher, but can cause unexpected side-effects.

Best to get it set correct now, before you start installing all your
packages.
