[plug] Exploring world of ipv6 - tunnels

The lookup slowness was why I originally removed all IPv6 support - some
critical  apps would not work properly at all under IPv4 if there was no
6 support on the network - this was years ago and inertia means I still
have no IPv6 compiled in - maybe time to change :)
