I've just had my first experience with grub2. While I just had a quick look at its configuration files, it looks like they have turned a simple file, grub.conf (or menu.lst), into a set of nightmarish shell scripts. I'll have another look tomorrow to see why I should not replace it with version 0.97. Jim
