I would like to see a workshop on Git. That would save me a lot of time.

    Hello PLUG,

PLUG needs some action! It needs your involvement, and it needs you to
do what you want with it. For PLUG to thrive, it needs people to put in
some time to organise and run events, to be involved with projects, to
give ideas, and help move those ideas into realities. Some of the items
we're looking at trying to get someone to take on are:

  * Install Fests? Are these needed these days? Does someone want to
    coordinate one? Where, and when?
  * Software Freedom Day - http://softwarefreedomday.org/ - organsied by
Linux Australia - we need someone to co-ordinate what PLUG will do
    for this? *Saturday 17th September*.
  * Bug Squashing Parties - *Alastair *has volunteered to co-ordinate
these, so stay tuned for details from him
  * Coordinating presentations and speakers; do you have a bunch of
friends who work on interesting projects? Are you confident enough
to ask people to come and talk to a room of eager coders and hackers?
  * Other projects (watch this space - see my next post... :) )

No prior experience is necessary, just a bit of your time; and you're
not on your own organising any of this - you have the full backing and
often active support in the work from the committee.

PLUG is your local Linux/open Source community in Perth; please step up
and get involved!

(Insert /Lord Kitchener/ mental imagery here - PLUG needs YOU)
