Some more research suggests that this in a bug in Belkin routers. 
Belkins advice, "hard code the ip's you are having problems with in your 
hosts file".

My advice, return the device to the place of purchase as it's obviously 
faulty and Belkin refuses to fix it, so please replace it with something 
other than Belkin.
