In my experience Thinkpads are pretty well supported, could you elaborate where you are having problems installing Debian error messages etc?

    Hi one & all,

    I was recently given two IBM Thinkpad laptop computers they both
    run Windows XP professional which I have been able to bring up
    without any difficulty.

    Both machines seem to be in good order & may not have been used
    in quite some time.

    It was hoped that I could run a linux operating system ie Debian
    all my attempts so far to overwrite Windows has failed.

    Any suggestions/help would be most welcome.
