 Hi Alastair,

 The distro I have installed is Debian & is currently up to date.
 
 The installation was pretty straight forward from linuxit.com, Debian
 6.0.0 i386.
 Have used Debian for many years but due to other constraints I have
 not done a great deal recently & at one stage I attended most sessions
 held at UWA I would like to get back into that type of activity if
 possible.

 I am not the greatest geek around Nick Bannon would probably remember
 me.

 May be we can assist each other some how.
