[plug] Fwd: Dead Ubuntu

So it sounds like not even the newer Ubuntu wants to work.
One thing I think that would be interesting to try would be to create a
live boot usb and see how Ubuntu runs off that.
If it runs off the USB that would rule out most hardware problems I believe
