I took a punt on E-bay. Expensive punt at nearly $400 plus $32 for a new tape to test with, so we'll see how it works out.

I already have rotating backups both on and off site. I just want that extra medium I can snapshot to
once a month and store in a safe in a third location. Two of the systems I'm backing up can't be connected
to the world and are entirely air-gapped, so this seemed to make sense.

I figure the more backup I have the less the likelihood I'll ever need them. 
It might yet be a mistake, but there's only one way to learn that lesson.
