Hello

Our event has an official start time of 12.30pm and last installations 
starting at 3.30pm.

We will join the JAFWA fair so that our insurance is covered by that event.

Setting up starts at 12 noon and we will pack up at 4pm to be out of the space 
at 4.30pm.

Everyone on the PLUG list is welcome to join us and observe, set up, assist 
with installations, or as an excuse to catch up with other long time 
supporters of PLUG.

We have 20 USB sticks to collect at PLE Bentley and we plan to pre-load them 
with Mint, Ubuntu and several debian live CDs. That way we test the hardware 
and allow people to play with their choice of distro prior to installation.

We will have a waiver document that explains that data on the disk will be 
erased and some suggestions for copying their data off the disk prior to 
attending. Some suggestions for backup choices to the list would be helpful. 
We don't want to be managing private data onto backups on the day from a time, 
privacy, and legal reasons.

We can create ISOs for people to take away if they bring a USB drive. Minimum 
I could buy was 8GB but is 4 GB sufficient for all live CDs ?

Some local storage and network is a work in progress. PLUG has some equipment 
but we may seek some gear for the day.

I would welcome feedback if there are things I have missed or other things we 
need to consider to make the day a success.
