[plug] Installfest questions

Hello

I am drafting instructions to attendees and one of those will be backing up
data prior to attending the installfest.

We will have a waiver to sign saying "Please accept there will be nothing of
you old data after Linux is installed".

If people have OneDrive in place, it makes sense to install tools to resync
with that. Does anyone have experience with these and their quality ?

What other backup and restore methods are feasible (and I mean such that the
new user can go way and restore their own data) ?

The update to Linux makes the assumption that a non-Windows11 compliant
computer will be wiped and become e-waste so that expectation means we don't
have to consider the data.

But it would be useful to explain (warn) the things that will be gone;
passwords, bookmarks, etc or to have some advice on how they can be moved off
the machine to re-use.

I'd welcome clues on any generic advice we can give or web content to explain.

EndOf10 simply says "Before you start, make sure to back up any important data
from the computer you're about to reinstall!"

Non-technical users will benefit from a little more guidance I think.

All the best
Harry (who doesn't use OneDrive)
