It's not Australian, but PLUG has been using rsync.net for backups.
They give you a choice of storage locations including Switzerland and
Hong Kong, which might be enough if you're primarily concerned about
the United States.

In particular, we're using their borg backup plan priced at US$0.008
per GB, per month (with a minimum charge of US$19.20/year for 200 GB):

You'd need to use the borg backup tool to create your backups, which
will encrypt them before sending them to their servers.
