Having just put together a new machine (AMD Duron 800 & Abit KT7A

m/board) I had no end of troubles until the right BIOS/4in1 driver

combination made Windows happy.  Of course RH7.1 went straight on

without any problems... a good incentive to make the step to linux on the

desktop :)  <br>

After speaking with a few "experts" I have been told that Win

2k will give me a lot less trouble, while others have reported it as

resource hungry.  I currently use Win98SE and am wondering if an

upgrade to 2k would be advantageous?  Not sure on compatibilities

with any Windows emulators, Samba etc?<br>

Any info will be appreciated.<br>
