I know that the correct module is the 'i810_audio' this i finally got off
the net. I can't install it though. It just hangs when trying to install.
The message is below:

#sudo modprobe i810_audio
Intel 810 + AC97 Audio, Version 0.04, Date and Time Here
PCI: Setting latency timer of device 00:1f.5 to 64
i810: Intel ICH82801AA found at 10 0xdc00 and 0xde00, IRQ 10

It then hangs and nothing works, keyboard locks up. Could this be because
I have the AC97 module installed?
It still reboots when I try to shutdown but X is fine (I can play GLX
games at faster than .01 frames a second! :)
When I put it to sleep it immediately wakes up and when i put it into
standby i can't wake it up.
I just tried to put it to sleep and apm exit with the below
error

APIC error on CPU0: 00(40)

I also tried to install the i810_audio module with the ac97 module
removed. I got the same error. The ac97 modem is disabled.
Tim
p.s. I removed windows for the new install so can't test if the sound is
actually working, its a second hand motherboard,
