I am looking for platform independent or cross platform (Linux &

Windows XP) accounting software<br>

It needs to be able to perform the following tasks (which I have an

ugly spreadsheet currently failing to perform)<br>

<ul>

  <li>Manage pay slips (ingoing,) this includes all the extra debits

and credits for unions and other things - Primary Income<br>

  </li>

  <li>Manage secondary income (minor self employed work)</li>

  <li>Manage regular payments that are based on Primary Income (i.e.

Center link)</li>

  <li>Manage board/rent based on Primary Income</li>

  <li>Manage virtual accounts. (i.e. my bank account is the account but

I want to be able to have virtual sub accounts. e.g. Savings and

spending, so a percentage of my income goes into my savings and I can

manage transacts straight from savings which will automatically remove

that amount from the bank account)</li>

  <li>Manage transactions. (Spending/Expenditures)</li>

  <li>Can give reports (Balance, transactions, income, expenditures ...)</li>

</ul>

If anybody knows of a good system that is OpenSource and has most of

these features then suggest that as well.<br>
