<DIV>I see quite a few people have given some helpful replies on this. It is not
hard to retrieve deleted data from hard drives, even if it has been
overwritten/erased/formatted etc. There are some freely downloadable tools to do
it.</DIV>

<DIV>One thing that I tested was using a steganography tool, and using it's
shred utility to shred the hidden file. I then used a retrieval tool and was not
able to retrieve the shredded file. Other shred utilities I tried didn't
shred as well as the steggie tool - I was still able to retrieve them.</DIV>
