tried running some windows applications under wine (which were working

fine before the upgrade..) and they still run, however, there is no text

at all in the application. All menus, toolbars, text boxes etc are all

blank. Menus still have underlines for the shortcut letters, but nothing

displays.

Your missing the fonts needed by this app from the system. You may need

to get wine to reinitialise its font database  after installing them.
