Ben Woods kindly burnt me a copy of Ubuntu and KUbuntu.  thanks everyone.  I have also discovered that <A HREF="http://files.bigpond.com/library/index.php?go=cat&id=812">http://files.bigpond.com/library/index.php?go=cat&id=812</A> does in fact provide me a place where I can download large files such as the iso's for ubuntu without incurring download charges [it doesn't count towards my bandwidth quota].<BR>
