Hi Dave,

Can't help you with the first two off the top of my head, but with the update manager, check under System > Preferences > Session and make sure the command 'update-manager' is invoked at session start up. It may have been removed for some reason.
Some little changes have occurred recently, presumably related to ongoing updates. I can't relate them to specific updates - no records kept - so that's only a guess..

1. I can no longer directly open links in emails - recently discussed in
this forum - and have found no solution. Problem seems to apply only to Thunderbird which appears to have it's own internal browser. Opening the same site in Firefox allows direct link opening and mail accessed using Evolution works as expected...

2. Xsane copy function does not work. Preview looks right but only part
of A4 page prints. I've tried all the obvious mods, ensuring A4 instead of letter size etc. It would be really handy to find a fix for this!

3. 'Updates available' icon no longer appears automatically. Update
manager is ok when manually invoked.

Do any of these ring a bell with anyone?

Regards
Dave Dartnall
