The problem is the drive has some errors that prevents it from booting up so I get GRUB error 17 and upon further investigation found that the drive is reporting: <div>sda: Current: Sense key: Medium error<div> Additional Sense: Unrecovered read error</div><div> Info fld=0xa2</div><div>end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 162</div><div>Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 81</div><div><br></div><div>It's a Seagate ST318406LW 18GB SCSI drive and Seagate does not have any tools that run from Linux only on Windows.
