A reminder that we have the PLUG Summer/End of Year BBQ this Sunday
4th December from noon. PLUG is going to grab a bunch of sausages
for the members who have RSVP - I had around 7 people confirm they
are coming tonight at the PLUG in the Pub (Moon & Six Pence),
and I know of at least 4 more. BYO drinks, and an outdoor chair if
you want, hat, and anything else you'd prefer to BBQ up, etc. Please
<b>RSVP ASAP </b>if we don't already know you're coming - either
email <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:committee@plug.org.au">committee@plug.org.au</a> and let me know if you're bringing
family, or respond to the PLUG Facebook event (whatever works for
you).<br>

I think we had around a dozen people in the pub tonight. There was a
lively debate on the role of copyright and the state of market
availability on supply and demand, plus comparing various revision
control systems (Git, Veracity, Bzr, Arch, and Svn)... and a bit of
GPG key signing! Thanks all for turning up.<br>

PS: We need nominations for committee 2012. According to our
(current) constitution, we can only accept nominations on the night
from the AGM if there are no nominees for a particular position
(current constitution states Chair, Vice chair, Treasurer and
Secretary; proposed constitution adds between 1 and 3 Ordinary
Committee Members). Email <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:secretary@plug.org.au">secretary@plug.org.au</a> if you will stand
for any <i>or some selected</i> positions. We will require at least
30 members to attend the AGM in January according to our current
constitution for us to be able to hold the AGM without going to
extraordinary measures (formal notice will be sent out in around two
weeks from our current honourable Secretary).
