I personally think that these parallel architectures are the ones of tomorrow, not 5 years from now. It seems that they will creep up more and more in the data centers. Development for these is a challenge, it has been for 30 years. NVIDIA has a free SDK if I recall correctly and a PC card with a GPU can be found quite easily now. Some Macs have them as a video graphics card. Unfortunately Sony has closed the door on developing on the PS3 and the market is more around NVIDIA and the new GPUs.</font></div><div><font face="arial" size="2"><br></font></div><div><font face="arial" size="2">iVEC offers free parallel programming short courses from
time to time, but it doesn't seem easy to get in. I tried when I was working for a uni in Perth and didn't even get an answer.
