I am indeed also worried about this trend. One consideration I want to add is the lack of flash support. Both my kids use a number of websites which require flash. Some of which may have natives apps for iOS available though.<br>

Fortunately these devices are not prescribed just yet and as parents we still have options available to us. Maybe take this up with your kids school and P&C. Most likely they not even aware of all the great options available to them.<br>
