It appears to my initial google-fu that there is lots going on, but very little of it seems to be ready for prime-time and I really don't want to start experimenting with this in a production environment.</div><div><br>
</div><div>So far I've found btrfs, which Facebook appears to be trialling, but it's not considered stable. ZFS appears to be implemented as a DKMS because of licencing conflicts, requiring a re-compile every time you update the kernel, lessfs as a Fuse module, but it seems unstable with countless crash reports.</div>
