<div dir="ltr">Hello PLUG community.<div><br></div><div>I have a situation on a Debian 8.0 machine whereby I require a command (specifically partprobe) to be run right before mount runs and reads /etc/fstab.</div><div><br></div><div>In the following StackExchange article, one responder suggests putting the commands and/or binaries inside of the initrd image itself (can anyone say, possible dynamic library issue?) , but that seems a bit too extreme. The same article also suggest using dmsetup, but I have not had to use dmsetup in this particular configuration:<br></div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/92275/have-to-run-partprobe-at-every-boot">http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/92275/have-to-run-partprobe-at-every-boot</a><br></div><div><br></div><div>Can anyone offer any advice as to the best way to go about such a task?</div><div><br></div><div>I have also noticed that Debian's init system has changed and running my own scripts via the old system doesn't seem to apply any more.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks in advance.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>--Dean</div></div>
