I have a server that mainly just does Web hosting and a couple of
permanent connections. Over the past few days the traffic it is
pulling has gone through the roof. I have ipacsum set up to monitor
the main kinds of traffic that I get - mail, Web - and they are not
showing any major deviations from the norm. The two permanent
connections are not pulling anything more than normal through their
modem links. I don't have an open mail or proxy server. I had a look
through my daemon.log and couldn't see any other services such as FTP
with a large increase in incoming traffic.
Does anyone have any hints on where else I could look to find where
the jump in traffic has come from? Thanks.
