[plug] Linux and GPS (now rather off-topic)

If you're buying a Garmin cable and you're not a soldering disaster area,
get the bare-ended one designed for boats.  It's the cheapest and has the 4
wires - 12 V, Gnd, TxD and RxD.  The lead with the cigarette lighter plug
has only the 2 power wires.

Yacht Grot are the cheapest outlet I've found.
